Field Diary, 3rd of October 2017
Today on my way home I came across a phenomenon of protest that was completely new to me but yet liberating. Around 9.30 pm people gathered on their balconies and started to bang pots and pans against each other. What a great sound. What a great sign.

After all of the protest activities, I have witnessed in the last 24 hours this one for sure is the most exciting. My host Edison told me later on that this is a common practice. People in Spain but also South America tend to do the 'Cassolada' whenever they want to make the voices heard.
