Field Diary, 5ht of July 2017
Yesterday Marcela showed me the Holocaust Memorial at Rabin Square in Tel Aviv. We got there quite late, around 11 pm. It was eerie to visit that place that late. The huge metal structure stands pretty much alone in front of the city's townhall and looks like a tin of sardines. Shabby 60ties style or something like that, Brutalist architecture. The monument itself struggles with physics. A displaced world? I have to get back there tomorrow morning. There were some children drawings in chalk all over the monument.
