The veins of an urban complex are its streets, alleys, and lanes. They are the materials of movement and tell about a city's pace. Tel Aviv, in that sense, can be considered as a relaxed companion. The city holds several main roads. Yet with only moderate traffic. Despite the highway which is packed with cars most of the day.

Besides those main roads, the rest of the city is laid back. It's thin lanes separate residential houses within planted alleyways, that usually are one-way directions. The architecture generally follows a "Bauhaus" style. Something the city is well known for that creates a homogenous picture in colour and form.

Motorised bikes dominate the city. Their design, little wheels, and small price certainly appeals to the hip and young start-up/creative crowd of connected Tel Aviv. Out of 100 bikes counted (at the promenade), only seven were traditionally self-propelled. Given an outside temperature of 35 centigrades, the advantage of e-bikes seems reasonable. The trend of e-bikes, however, also resonates with the cities self-given image of a leader in digital innovation.
